Vary speed: Speed Intervals changes WPM after time elapses (good for long warm-up sessions). Speed Racer plays each card at a stepped sequence of WPMs, then speaks the word, then plays once more at your target WPM. Speed Racer overrides Repeats; the two modes are mutually exclusive.
About FWPM (Farnsworth): each character is sent at the WPM speed, but the gaps between characters and words are stretched so the overall pace feels like FWPM. It lets you train your ear on real-speed characters without the words flying by — e.g. WPM 20 / FWPM 10 sends crisp 20 wpm letters with extra silence between them.
